Data Wrangling is the process of transforming data from an unreadable format to another format to make it more appropriate for analysis. This project takes three different forms of data and merges it into one all with the National Parks as its theme.

Each of the three data sources has its own unique information but also some overlap. The National Parks API has all information about each of the national parks in its system. The National Parks Trails CSV is derived from the AllTrails website and has information on the trails located in the National Parks. The National Parks elevation table from Wikipedia is a table of the highest and lowest elevations in 63 National Parks. Initially. looking at the data for each source, the National Parks API looks to be the parent as it has the most accurate information coming directly from the National Parks Service. I will be using the park’s endpoint to get data about all the National Parks in its database. The CSV file contains the name of the National Park which I will use to connect it to the API data. The website also has the National Park name which will connect to the API data.

Olist is a Brazilian e-commerce company that connects small businesses to a larger marketplace. It gives these small businesses a way to manage their products, shipping, and online payments. They have approximately 200,000 users in about 180 countries.

With any online retailer, retaining customers is key but knowing who may leave and who stays could be guesswork. Understanding how and why customers stay and shop and why they leave is pivotal to a company’s business.

Knowing who your customers are and how and why they shop or do not return plays a big part in customer service which ultimately enhances a customer’s satisfaction level. A high satisfaction level could lead to overall better reviews and with these good reviews, their sellers will see more new sales.

This study will hope to find similar traits among its customers. This will help the marketing team know who best to send offers to or to whom might they need to send a discount coupon because it looks like they haven’t purchased in a while.

Due to recent unfortunate airline crashes, the media has been promoting statistics stating air is no longer a safe way to travel. The news and media outlets have been bombarding the public with reports and figures about the trends of airline safety and that things are not looking good. What was previously thought as the safest way to travel, especially when compared to automobiles, is now being presented as one of the most dangerous to the public. But are any of these claims based on facts?

You work for an airline on the data science team as a data analyst and are a resident data visualization expert. You have been tasked with helping multiple groups in the organization combat this negative publicity and help tell the airline's side of the story. There is a fear internally about what this type of media coverage will do to airline sales and how it could impact the future of the company. Not only do they need you to help create some internal communications, but you will also be tasked with what is published to the public and the media

Chocolate is loved by many worldwide. But what makes good chocolate? Chocolatiers, home cooks, and lovers of chocolate eat, use and make chocolate. Knowing where to get good chocolate could make or break a recipe or even a good relationship.

The data comes from the Flavors of Cacao website and their Chocolate Bar Ratings table. The data includes features such as cocoa content, where it was made, bean origin, the number of ingredients, and its characteristics and rating. I will also get the USA Craft Makers table and merge it with the Chocolate Bar Ratings to look more closely at the US Chocolate Companies.

I plan to look to see if I can predict the ratings for chocolate in the US and see if any features play a part in good chocolate.

When you are first learning a hobby, you have a lot of questions. Some go to classes, some go to books, and some go online to find answers. The problem arises when a student goes home from a class or reads a book or blog, they still have questions. This chatbot is aimed to help consolidate a lot of questions the user may have into a learning environment where the chatbot can help answer those questions.

This project helps children and adults learn to write their letters on the computer.

This is a study in creating different charts using Python, R, and Tableau.
